Hi! My name is Laura, and this is my brand-new blog. Thanks for visiting!
This is going to be a personal blog, and will also feature other things like book/music/movie reviews, thoughts about fashion and design, and musings about life as a young aspiring writer. My life is changing and moving in exciting new directions, and I really wanted a place to document the upcoming adventures, fears, and moments of happiness.
A little about me: I just started graduate school for an MFA in creative writing (poetry), right after graduating with my BA in English last May. I am originally from Rhode Island and just moved to the Boston area for school, where I live with my boyfriend Tristan and a few roommates. I work as a writing tutor and editorial assistant, and spend the rest of my time telling myself to write (and sometimes actually writing!).
I'm in love with all things beautiful and captivating -- walking down autumn streets at dusk when the streetlights are just going on, finding a lovely outfit at a thrift store, spending a day exploring an interesting place. And, always, sitting by a window with a book and a big mug of coffee (or any other hot beverage, really).
